In the world, there's a concept called "time". We all abide by it one way or the other. If not, then you should go see someone about that. Either you suffer from some serious delusions or you're a time manipulator. In any case, this concept applies to fiction as well. It may be depending on the time period or whatever, but time is a constant. So, today, this thread will discuss the ramifications of the "Sim Community" timeline. Before I further discuss that, I'd like to say that my philosophy on any matter is that some ideas should be set. Every league/federation needs to abide by some sort of cohesive timeline in order to tell better stories. I mean, being static sucks in anything. What is the point of making a show if you're going to remain stagnant. Hence why I opened up this part of the board. This will aid in setting some basic ideals behind each and every show. Back to the current topic at hand. What is the "timeline" for "Sim" (we need to come up with an official name for our universe)? We can say that TXW circa SVR 2008 might be the beginning period for everything. This timeline made by CAWisMeme can serve as a standing point of discussion. Feel free to throw any new leagues that isn't listed here into this.

I guess TXW would be the beginning of the "Sim Universe", as it was put. There should be a name for our universe as calling it CAW is odd and trying to explain in promos where one came from (either it be PS3/360) without saying where exactly, is an issue. The only league I could say should be there is Black Dragon Gate.

Involving the "community side" (meaning it has to do with any type of shows on YouTube, etc.), I tend to call it the "CAWverse". If it involves my own plans that are not executable through the "CAWverse", it's in my mind and I don't have a name for that. lol

Calling it Earth-2 like that Stryder fellow does is a good idea to me.

I like CAWverse... Pretty sure TXW was the beginning I wasn't really about though.. I think we're at a pretty good time in the timeline right now though

I suppose that list is a “starting” point but it’s missing a few things. ROV and AOW aren’t on that list; I do believe that they were pretty detrimental to helping Sim get to this point. Aside from that some of the dates are also wrong, TTP also would be from 2011-13 considering the fact that AOW had a working agreement with TPP that was cross promoted where Virtue and Monore, Myself and INNO all appeared on TPP while TPP talent (Barnett and AC) ended up joining AOWs ranks after TPP closed for a brief period. Not to mention, I remember the small dispute that went on about TXW not switching to sim until they saw the advantages (more importantly until AC ran the ranks of their “NXT” style show and won it.)

AOW not being on that list is a joke. While I've been very outspoken about the fact that AOW didn't start as simulation style promotion, you'd have to be entirely daft to not acknowledge the fact that it helped usher in a greater respect for the playstyle. I very clearly remember members of TXW, among many other popular places, telling us that playing in that manner was stupid. There just seems to be this community wide blackout when it comes to AOW that just baffles me.

I'd argue the same piece for ROV and, to a degree, TPP (as much as DieHard just tends to be an asshole, if you look at the people that went through there a lot of them became some names in the community that we love.)
