Anybody who's played a video game probably thinks about a game of their own, and what it'd be like. Well at least I have, and I have a couple I would love to make, but here is one that I've really tried to flesh out the most.
------------------------------------------
In a steampunk/Cyberpunk society driven by blind piety to a gigantic mechanical heart a doctor who repairs limbs develops his saving grace of his career, a right arm and begins operating on a boy who's lost his arm in a factory machine. After this, he is indoctrinated into war and when the doctor after building his own arm and undergoing the augmentations to enhance his body-type he begins being controlled by a god of chaos. He then, under the gods control, kills the boys best friend and the boy challenges the doctor and the boy obviously loses and is delegated from the Home of the doctor. The boy is left to get stronger and challenge the doctor at a later date, however throughout the entire game you'd hear about the Doctor getting stronger and defeating deities and all these features of great strength.
The bosses of the game are your to-be crew of a zeppelin, there is the Fire swordsman, the Cryomancer, the Raging Winds of the Desert, the Mole of the Underground, and the Thunder of Storming clouds. The gimmicks of them are self-explanatory, another feature would be arm collecting. Since the main character has a arm-charge template at the shoulder he can attach to any mechanical arm, with the reward for capturing all of them being the Hydron arm, a mini Hyrdon Collider but it absorbs your cells and turns them to black holes and harness the power into a single punch. This is the final attack, and by far the strongest attack in the game, capable of killing any enemy in one hit and the key to defeating the Doctor.
By the end the Doctor would be living it up in a Castle of Creations, all made by the doctor and wasting away realizing his inevitable mortality. The zeppelin would charge and a siege on the Castle of Creation would unfold and the final showdown would happen.
-----------------------------------------
Now I haven't has time to completely flush out the world, but I would LOVE to read about some world building for games in this thread.....or not. Anyways at the very least tell me what you think of my concept and which ideas are good, bad, or just kind of meh. Anyways, I'll be posting some game reviews here later on down the road. Working on my Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain review. So if that's interesting, stay tuned!
